Do you ever feel that life could be better? We do.

The good news is that while we face challenges, there are lots of things we can do to make life better for ourselves, for others and for wildlife.

That’s why we’ve created 12 Ways to Make Life Better.

Be Active
Exercising makes you feel good. Discover a physical activity you enjoy and one that suits your level of mobility and fitness.
Connect
Think of these as the cornerstones of your life and invest time in developing them. Building these connections will support and enrich you every day.
Take Notice
Be curious. Be aware of the world around you and what you are feeling. Reflecting on your experiences will help you appreciate what matters to you.
Keep Learning
Ask questions about the world around you. Learning new things will make you more confident as well as being enjoyable.
Play
Taking time to play is not only enjoyable, it can grow your imagination, give you strength, help you to develop new skills and make new friendships.
Create
Being creative and making things encourages self-expression and can reduce stress. It can also be a great way to give to others.
Give
Seeing yourself, and your happiness, linked to the wider community can be incredibly rewarding and creates connections with people and places.
Love
Feeling and giving love can improve our mental wellbeing and relationships with people and nature. We’re also more likely to look after what we love.
Grow
Planting, nurturing and growing plants is emotionally rewarding while providing beauty, food, cleaner air, shade and habitat for wildlife.
Make Space for Nature
Creating space for nature wherever you can will help nature flourish and will reward you with joy.
Organise
Connecting with other people to make good things happen is a great way to make life better for yourself, your community and environment.
Take Action
You don't need to hug every tree you see. Just try to live your life polluting and damaging as little as you can to make our world a better place.

London became the world's first National Park City on 22 July 2019 so we’re challenging Londoners to get outdoors, discover our great city in new ways, and to find ways to make it better for everyone. From here on, it's up to us all to demonstrate our determination to make London a world leading capital where its communities drive improvements making life greener, healthier, wilder.
